Senior Emily Nelson has been offered a full scholarship to the University of Connecticut's (UCONN) School of Engineering, a value of about $133,480 over four years. Emily was selected as a Nutmeg Scholar because of her "exceptional academic performance and the excellent leadership qualities" that she exhibits, according to a letter from the university admissions office.

The Nutmeg Scholarship is a full scholarship that includes the cost of tuition, university and student fees, books, supplies, university housing and meal plan.

Emily applied to UCONN as a civil engineering major.
